3,333 years ago, the children of Israel stood as one nation at the foot of the Mount Sinai and received the Torah from G‑d. Each year on the holiday of Shavuot, this historic event is re-lived as the Ten Commandments are read from the Torah - and the Divine energy present at Mt. Sinai is in the air again.
THIS YEAR, MORE THAN EVER, WE MUST STAND UNITED IN THE FACE OF ATTACKS ON ISRAEL - & THE JEWISH NATION AROUND THE WORLD!
When the Jewish people accepted the Torah, it was "as one people, with one heart." Let us demonstrate that unity - and, in return, may G‑d grant us the peace we so desperately seek!
Lots of info on everything Shavuot below : don't stop reading until you've reached the bottom of this page! ...:)
Lots more, too, in our special Shavuot holiday pages and links.
Hope to see you at Chabad: come celebrate with us.!
Or at home, if you choose! We have resources for every option....
Wishing you a happy, meaningful, spiritually-connecting Shavuot!
