Welcome to Chabad of Hawaii's Tourist Information Page. We are located on the island of Oahu, in beautiful Waikiki and also have Chabad Houses on Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island of Hawaii. Below is some general information we've compiled for the standard visitors' questions which are pertinent in Honolulu and the island of Oahu ONLY.

WE HAVE MOVED! We are now at 2241 Kapiolani Blvd,.Honolulu, HI 96826. The Waikiki Vista Building. Shul and offices on 9th floor/ restaurant, dining area, 1st floor.  Please note: Our shul, school and offices are NO LONGER LOCATED at the Ala Moana Hotel (410 Atkinson Drive)

Our offices are open from 9:00 am - 5:00 p.m., Monday throughThursday. (If you need to reach us on a Friday, try emailing before calling, as we have a skeleton office staff on Fridays.[You can try until noon Hawaii time on Fridays].) Please feel free to call with your inquiries and reservations. Please do read further so you will be better equipped with information before calling.


The State of Hawaii has very specific guidelines to enter the state. If you would like to avoid the 5-day quarantine, you must follow the State's instructions carefully. Here is a link to our sister site, which outlines and explains the proper procedures acceptable to the State of Hawaii and provides you the necessary links. Follow the instructions  carefully (not that difficult!)-H and you will avoid quarantine. If you do NOT follow the State's instructions, you may be forced to quarantine upon arrival. (Please be aware that as much as we would like to help everyone, there is nothing that we can do in a situation where Hawaii State travel guidelines were not followed.)

There are many hotels within reasonable walking distance of the Chabad House. Please input our address when making your hotel reservations to gauge the walking distance from your hotel to Chabad House.

We have minyanim throughout Shabbat -
Fble to light either where you eat - or where you sleep.) And since most hotels do not allow candles burning in the room, it may be easier for you to light at Chabad House.


Aloha Lani Kosher Restaurant - pareve and meat - is open for lunch and dinner! Please contact the restaurant at 808-799-2533 or [email protected] for details re hours, menu, ordering etc.  Delicious Israeli and American food options. We look forward to seeing you!  PLEASE NOTE: Aloha Lani Kosher will be (temporarily) closing on Feb. 1: The last day (for now) to come and enjoy lunch and dinner at the restaurant is Monday, Jan. 31.

We have beautiful communal Shabbat meals every week at Chabad House, in a warm, delightful atmosphere!

Friday night Shabbat Dinner: Adults (& children over 12) - $60; Children 2 - 12: $40
Shabbat Day Lunch: Adults (& children over 12) - $50; Children 2-12: $35

Adults (& children over 12), Dinner + Lunch package - $90 
Chlidren 2- 12: Dinner + Lunch Package - $60

**Cancellation Policy for Shabbat Reservations: Less than one week after reservations were made - 80% refund. One week or more from the date reservations were made - 60% refund. Within 72 hours of Shabbat - No refund.

If you would like to order Challahs for Shabbos or holidays please make you order by the Thursday morning preceding the Shabbos or holiday that you need it for. You can order your challahs by calling  our new restaurant, Aloha Lani Kosher 808-799-2533 or emailing [email protected]


NEW! KOSHER FOOD AVAILABLE IN MAUI!  PLEASE CONTACT  the shluchim on Maui, Rabbi Mendy and Mushka Krasnjansky at or [email protected]!  

Additionally, there is one kosher caterer who does take out/deliveries - Oahu Kosher, 808.888.4949. You can order food for during the week from him during your stay in Honolulu. Oahu Kosher will also prepare and ship your meals to neighbor islands.

If you patronize Oahu Kosher, please let them know that Chabad of Hawaii sent you! (They will appreciate hearing that!)

There is no kosher supermarket in Honolulu. However, you can find regular products with a hechsher at most supermarkets, Whole Foods (Kahala Mall) and (to a lesser degree) Safeway (either the Kapahulu branch or the one on Piikoi & Beretania Streets)  have more than most other places.

With many thanks to the Goldberger Family of Brooklyn, New York, and many other donors who made it possible, Chabad of Hawaii now has a functioning women's mikvah, Mikvas Batsheva. APPOINTMENTS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE. rv Kippah 2 mediumAdditionally, you may want to consider purchasing our unique and beautiful Aloha Hawaiian Kippot! They are sewn especially for us, made of cotton, with prints wearable on both sides and wash beautifully - and make a unique gift or souvenir of your stay in Hawaii. Each kippah has a different combination of patterns. Please call us if you are interested in purchasing any of these lovely yarmulkes. The kippahs are $8 each (+ shipping & handling, if we will be mailing them to you).
