“They Prayed for Me Around the World.”

Meet Parker.

Parker is a beautiful 6-year-old Jewish boy from Oahu who has been attending the Daniel Levey Chabad Hebrew School, together with his siblings, for several years.

Parker was involved in a terrible lawn mower accident on the eve of Chanukah this year, severely injuring the lower half of his body.

Something you never want to see.

While rushing him to the hospital, his mother immediately reached out, in pain and need, called Rebbetzin Perel:“Please meet me in the ER!”.

The doctors' prognosIs was bleak.

While Parker was surrounded by a team of doctors in the ICU, in middle of all the terrible pain that he was in, he raised his head and announced to all his (non-Jewish) doctors, "Tonight is the first night of Chanukah"......!! (Witnessed first-hand by R' Perel!)

Through hospital visits, gifts, and loving spiritual and social support - and reaching out to a global Chabad network for tefillot / prayers -  the Chabad of Hawaii family was there for Parker, his mom, his brother and sisters, throughout this excruciating time.

Miraculously, Parker has confounded all the (negative) medical predictions. Today, he is home, walking, against all odds.

Parker - and his mom and siblings -  know that they are not alone, that they have a Jewish family to turn to,
and that people all over the world are still praying for and believe in his complete recovery. (Michoel ben Chava, if you'd like to join.)
