Help Jewish life shine strong across the Hawaiian Islands
In the wake of the shocking and horrific tragedy in Bondi, our hearts are all aching — and we are reminded, once again, of a truth Torah teaches: darkness is real, but it does not get the final word.
For 39 years, Chabad of Hawaii has answered moments like these the Jewish way, by gathering, by showing up publicly, and by adding light. (Video clip here.)
From public menorah lightings and parades to Shabbat tables and the quiet phone calls and visits, we have seen how one flame leads to another, and the world is made a little bit of a better place, one action at a time. As the first Chabad Rebbe taught, “A little bit of light dispels a lot of darkness.”
