In the wake of the shocking and horrific tragedy in Bondi, our hearts are all aching — and we are reminded, once again, of a truth Torah teaches: darkness is real, but it does not get the final word.
From public menorah lightings and parades to Shabbat tables and the quiet phone calls and visits, we have seen how one flame leads to another, and the world is made a little bit of a better place, one action at a time. As the first Chabad Rebbe taught, “A little bit of light dispels a lot of darkness.”
To ensure that Jewish life in Hawaii remains visible, proud, and growing, we need your partnership. Your support helps us continue bringing Jews together across the islands, celebrating openly in public spaces, and building a warm Jewish home for the next generation.
Especially now, choosing light is not passive, it’s a choice!
Happy Chanukah! And have a blessed 2026!
